I use Chess.com to disconnect from social media and all the other B.S. online, just for them to shove it back in my face in between matches unless I pay them not to. Im at 282 days consecutively played but the full screen ads make this app redundant for me.
Yeah I was also close to a 300 day streak, normally a paying member but had some financial difficulties lately, but full screen ads is a bridge too far for me. Will be using lichess from now on, especially since the vast majority of the new updates to the app are only to add slop bots over and over. Seems like you pay a premium just to have access to the most popular chess platform. Very disappointing.
