Game could have continued

I find the “Game could have continued” line in analysis less than helpful. Of course a resigned game “could have continued”, the question is, whether there was any point to doing so. Could a brief line like, I dunno, “Resignation made sense” or “You might have quit too soon” be worked into the program?
Agreed. Very confusing.
