Game freeze, abandon, warning

The first few games I play on chess.com freeze, then when I refresh the page and log back in, it says abandoned and I get a warning. But my game still has over 2 minutes on the clock. Why am I getting abandon warnings before my full 3 minute clock runs out. The only reason for the delay is that the first few games don't have a static connection.

Any help or advice? Yes, I clear my cache and close other apps before playing. It still freezes.

Thanks.

Just happened again. Why is Chess.com refusing to allow the full three minutes to pass before declaring abandoned game? It doesn't make sense. I tried to refresh the page and same thing, warning messages about abandoned games. It also gives warnings about being ready to play a game before starting. If I set the timer for three minutes, then I have three minutes. If I lose due to timeout then that loss is on me.

What's the deal @Chess.com?

In my game just “finished” now, when I got in to a winning position a “game aborted” notice came up, even though there were about 40 minutes left, and there was no problem with the internet. Also the game has been wiped from record. How can this happen?

Dear lamarche:

I've been a member of this site for over six (6) years now. And within all this time span, I've had the same thing happen to me several times (with each of those times happening at a different time from the others). I've emailed them about this several years ago, but I don't recall now what their response were -- I think it was that they said they were going to look into it.

But I highly suggest you do the same! Please let them know about it by going through the 'Contact

At the very bottom left-hand corner of your 'Home' page is an icon with a question mark. If you highlight it, you'll see a list come up and the 1st one on the list is: 'Ask A Question'. Click on 'Ask A Question' and a list of 'Instant Answers' will come up at the left-hand corner of your screen. And at the very bottom of that 'Instant Answers' list, is a field -- type "Member Support" and 'Contact Us' will come up at the top of the list. Click on 'Contact Us' and a set of questions come up. Scroll to the very bottom of that list of questions (under 'Contact Us') and an orange rectangular square will have the words 'Contact Us'. Click on 'Contact Us' (with the orange background) and then another list comes up with the title 'How can we help?'. From there, click on 'Technical Problems'. From there, I think you'll know what to do. BUT IT IS BEST TO GO THROUGH THAT ROUTE -- OTHERWISE YOU MAY NOT GET A RESPONSE!

lamarche = YOU REALLY REALLY SHOULD LET THEM KNOW!

Dear lamarche:

I wanted to add that (and hopefully you do!) when you do notify Technical Support, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS COPY AND PASTE EXACTLY WHAT YOU FIRST SAID HERE ON THIS TOPIC. JUST COPY AND PASTE THIS:
