Game Opening Animation

The animation that a new game opens with needs to be changed. The timer on the game should not start for white until the animation has fully gone away. It cost white 2 seconds in the game. Sure, I can make my first move while the animation is still on the board, but who wants to make a move when the board is obstructed by a graphic? I usually play 5 minute blitz and while I'm not sure if that 2 seconds has cost me a game since it started, I know I've won and lost games within a 2 second window because of the time. For example: I have mate in 1 or 2 but lose on time.

This needs to be fixed.

Yes, that too. It should be an option. I would most certainly turn it off.

There is an option to turn it off, for those that have it, under Settings > Board and Pieces 

I don't get it. I like the animation, but sometimes it disappears. I go to Settings > Board and Pieces, but I don't see the option.
