Get rid of slide/swipe moves in app

There are two ways to move a piece in the app: tapping your piece then the place you want it to go, and sliding your piece into the next position in one motion. The latter is incredibly frustrating as I often do it accidentally. The negatives far outweigh the positives on this. i’d like to see the app stick with the tapping option and get rid of the swiping/sliding.

I disagree. I like swiping and I almost never have a problem with pieces going where they shouldn't.
I believe there is a confirm move option available for people who fat finger their moves.
The confirm option button takes too much time in shorter games, especially as time is running out. I’m surprised to hear you don’t ever fat finger.
I do it constantly. I don’t know how you never do it, let alone prefer the swipe. I hate it so much. At least an option to disable.

What about adding toggles so everyone enables or disables the ones the want and don’t want

Ditto. It's really problematic especially when castling quickly. Please let us disable dragging pieces in the app 🙏
