How about a desktop app?

It would be nice to have a desktop application and not having to play in a web browser. If it was to be available on Steam, it would be even better and bring more players. They don't have any decent chess game on Steam beside an incomplete Fritz 16 package.

It has been requested before and I believe @erik has stated it wasn't something being looked at.

Thanks. Did they provide a reason?

Well, I learned something new when doing a quick search, but didn't find a post by erik about it. Though, there apparently used to be an app and that was discontinued.

The most recent post I found from a staff member was in the following topic.

We do not intend to do a windows app. We once had one, no one used it and it was discontinued.
