The above is a long-standing principle, in the western world, concerning legal or academic debate. The OP has presented the question: should this site make a statement or gesture concerning the Gaza situation, the answer is : yes-in favor, no-against, or simply remain silent; except remaining silent will be interpreted as an agreement, or in favor, of what is happening in Gaza.

One can always remain out of such debates until such questions are put to you, then the above principle is invoked.
