Stop seeking external validation. Your likes, views, followers, "friends", etc. are meaningless. Friendships are not made by clicking a button, and self-worth is not measured by numbers.

I can understand what y'all want. But that doesn't mean start a revolt. You could just start a petition to have views and followers added back and then bring that petition to the attention of staff (like @martin_stahl or @wind )

That's doesn't change the veracity of anything I said. The poster I replied to has over 80. The OP has over 300. That by itself does not mean as much, but the overreaction to views beings removed paints a different picture.
Did you know that social media companies follow scientific formulas for increasing teen engagement by preying on the the evolutionary need for young people to become independent, prove themselves and be liked/accepted for who they are? Do you know that your engagement is carefully measured and tweaked...and exploited for revenue?
Chess.com is actually being responsible here...about time, too.
