Its not very likely you could get a bot to play like a person without a lot of games to base it off and even then it would mostly be a short opening book if they played the same openings all the time.
As to playing certain openings, you can play bots from a certain opening, though there's no option to start from scratch and manually play them

Any chance w all the computer engineers on this site you can create a bot where the user can upload a few of their archived games? This way you could play against a past version of yourself. IdK maybe this wouldn't' help much? Would be fun as a test to see if you have improved. I thought I improved and was turning a new leaf in 2024. But the past couple days I have been getting crushed in my games. Haven't been getting the rest that is needed but that isn't out or the norm. Also it's no excuse. Had some chess questions and tried to view some clips on you tube to solve the issues. As soon as I started playing again its like the chess.com algorithm or AI is like ah NO.. Nope time to adjust your opponent matchups bc we need to always throw you off your game.. Ahh what gives?
Does chess.com offer a way to play or practice against specific openings? Clearly at my ability I don't know the specific book openings to play against. If I knew specific openings I would play on a regular non digital chess set. I don't believe I am at the level to pay for instruction but I am not improving considering I have been on this site for a very long time.. Please advise
