New Accounts

I've noticed that lately most of the people I play have accounts less than 30 days old. Most of them are sandbagging, and constantly setting up new accounts. Much of this could be stopped if chess.com allowed members to filter players by the age of their account. Unfortunately, I assume chess.com actually likes the fake accounts, because like the Twitter strategy, they believe all of these fake accounts adds to their company value.

I like collecting stats

This is the age of accounts before your first mutual game + game results from April-May 2025:

1046 accounts total, 67 <1 month old accounts → 6.4%

This is the age of accounts before your first mutual game + game results from April-May 2026:

646 accounts total, 140 <1 month old accounts → 21.7%

So there is amount of <1 month old accounts and it grew up over the year but it is still not the most

There is no way that's accurate. I've checked every opponent this month, and most accounts were created in 2026. If you ask them about sandbagging, many of them will admit to it, and laugh. Even if you report them they know there is nothing stopping them from just setting up a new account.

Also, it doesn't always have to be a new account, you can have literally dozens of accounts to cycle through as they get suspensions.

If everyone filters new accounts, how will they get any opponents?

his graphs are always accurate bruh
look through your game list and cross check. you're unknowingly exaggerating a lot and now the stats are right there for you to see but you're still in denial
rn in 2026 21.7% of your opponents had newer accounts
78.3% have old accounts
idk in which world 21.7% is considered a majority but ok
1. "Unfortunately, I assume chess.com actually likes the fake accounts" chess.com earns enough from advertisements and memberships. do enlighten us on how they would benefit from fake accounts.
2. "many of them will admit to it, and laugh."
take a screenshot and report them. and as i've read through threads many people get accused of sandbagging for no reason, by people like you, and so they troll by saying that they are indeed sangbagging and some gullible people believe that it seems
3. you were a new account once too. if your suggestion was applied, you wouldnt have found a game at all.

Why, there might be mistakes in the script as I wrote it for fun and did not test it heavily but some quick minor checks have not failed yet. Anyway, I am not like:
