Notifications for new comments on followed posts

WHY is this not an option? EVERY OTHER THING YOU CAN BE NOTIFIED FOR HAS MOBILE AS AN OPTION! Is it that hard to code? (If it is hard to code I understand but how could it be?) I can’t get notifications on the website due to screen restrictions, and I have screen time on my email. I would like to keep up with my followed posts. Please add this.

Surely you simply need use the code that detects when a followed post is commented on and make it send a mobile notification

That already happens for content you follow on the website. By default anything you reply to is followed, unless you disable the option or manually unfollow.
If you're on the app that doesn't exist though I think you may still automatically follow content your reply to.

I want it to send a notification to my phone whenever it happens, instead of email. And since every other notification type does this, why can’t this one?

There is an email option for content you follow that can be enabled on the website. If that is turned on and you're not getting email, then it's possible the app doesn't auto-follow .
