option for lax game abandon

when playing with initial 5+ minutes and increment of 5 or more seconds let us have option for lax game abandon rules.
I just left chess app for 2 minutes to go to another app to give a delivery person a OTP, it was not there so looked in SMS app, came back to chess, per phone watch was less than 3 minutes, I has more than 10 minutes as it was initial time 15 and 15 seconds added per turn and already ~20 turns gone quickly but I had lost due to "abandoning".
it was an interesting game. am sure other player would have liked to have played. please revisit these auto abandon rules.
