You're playing against someone, he/she gets their account closed while your games are ongoing, you get an alert from chesscom with an option to change the games to unrated if you want. If you decide yes, you (and your team) get the wins, and your rating is unchanged.

Cheaters shouldn't affect your score, ultimately.
Options in a bad situation are a good thing. I want a badge that says, "I turned down points from a cheater because, unlike a cheater, I don't pretend to be something I'm not." And when cheaters see that, maybe they will want to rethink their lives. Any negligible dampening of the ripples in the rating pool because you refuse the free increase is almost secondary to that point.
But if you feel like you were better in the game(s), you turn down the badge and take the points! Options.

I agree...?
I feel kind of bad to see my score go up because someone logs out immediately. I didn't "earn" any points. I'm not "better".
C'est une excellente idée, et si en plus ça évite de fausser la moyenne des cotes adverses (par exemple, un résultat obtenu contre un adversaire dont la cote a "fondu" de 500 points), en n'en tenant aucun compte, ce serait encore mieux. ;

You deserve to be in control of something, as the honest player in the situation!
Requesting an option to switch to unrated your games against someone whose account gets closed - as an alert you receive at the time of their closure - so your rating is unaffected when the person times-out.
