Its legit, because you entered an official tournament with real prizes. How would they get that prize to you if they don't know your address.? For tax purposes they need a real name. If they we're asking for that info and you DIDN'T enter the tournament,....they yeah, I'd say it sounds, looks & smells like a phishing scam. For that tournament or any other tournament to be advertised on or affiliated with Chess.com... there's a vetting process. Its good that your guard was up. If you feel any other message is a phishing scheme please send in a support ticket.

I received the following message in my chess.com mailbox this morning. I strongly believe this is a phishing attempt. I already reported the user that send the message, but there might be more users spamming this:
Dear participant of the Checkmate Coronavirus tournament!
Thank you for joining FIDE initiative, with your support and passion for chess the project managed to become the biggest official event in terms of participation and non-stop games running.
We are also glad to inform you that you have become a prize winner of the Checkmate Coronavirus project! To check what kind of prize you got, have a look here: https://results.checkmatecoronavirus.com/tournaments/prizes
To claim your prize you need to contact the organizers of the event before June 30th 2020 by sending an email to prizes@checkmatecoronavirus.com with the following data:
• player’s nickname
• player’s real name
• player’s email address
• player’s home address (only for players who won Checkmate Coronavirus Souvenirs)
Congratulations to you! We hope you enjoyed the process and will continue playing online after the lockdown as well.
