Puzzle Adaptability?

I enjoy working the puzzles, however, many of them do not end with the actual stated goal announced by the "coach". Also, there are a number of puzzles that can be worked out, but that do not make sense after completing the puzzle; sometimes because the puzzle not only makes a mistake on the first move to set up the puzzle, but afterwards also. Then, I see certain puzzles and try to work out where I should go from there and quite frequently, no matter what move is made for either side the response is "blunder, mistake, or inaccuracy" with no help figuring out how the game could or should progress from that position for either side. I attempt to learn how it should be played out from both sides and often end up with no guidance or help when attempting to play the position further than the puzzle shows, or different than the puzzle shows. I want to be able to explore the puzzles deeper and the positions they advance to further.
