Puzzles are too easy
I have difficulty set to extra hard and just got a one move back rank mate - like first puzzle of puzzle rush level - with my current puzzle rating around 2900. Of course that rating is pretty much meaningless; the highest I got under the old system was 2750. The puzzle itself was nonsensically rated over 1800. Right now, it seems I have zero resistance in spiking my rating as high as I want if I want to trudge along at exactly 5 points per puzzle at a time (no chance for speed bonus with 95% of puzzles being served up <2000).
Saw a post a while back that apparently they had different groups of users on different algorithms for puzzle selection? This might explain the fact that some users are getting ridiculously easy problems and others aren't - but why you would break a major feature of your website in order to turn your entire user base into beta testers is beyond me.
I had been paying for membership pretty much only for puzzle access and had a goal of working up to 3000. That goal is now meaningless, so membership canceled.
I'm having the same issue as Goathead2020. I just casually pushed my rating from ~2600 to over 3000 over the course of a few days because the system is consistently giving me puzzles in the difficulty range 1100-1800 despite my high "rating". Assuming I take my time and don't make any silly mistakes, it seems like there's an unlimited ceiling like Goathead says, which is frustrating both because it makes the rating somewhat meaningless and also because the tool no longer consistently feeds me puzzles that are a challenge for my ability.
For now I guess I'll just go back to doing exclusively survival mode on rush so that I at least have a shot at getting to harder puzzles every day.
I am rated 3600 in puzzles but I am getting puzzles of 2500 level so what is the problem with chess.com? Is it because I have already solved all the puzzles for my rating range so chess.com is giving me easy ones?
