Taking forever to get games

Why does com have such a longer wait time than lichess when it has way more users? Getting a game on lichess is almost instantaneous, while I sometimes wait upwards of an entire minute here in totally normal time controls (3+2, 1+1). Generally speaking, when I click new game it never gives me one within 10 seconds.
