I noticed this too! I figured that it was rounding to the nearest hundred points, but that doesn't seem right either.

I have noticed that the developers added a stylish green line indicating your position on the global rating diagrams:
However the data from three blocks on every Leaderboard page (I considered bullet, blitz and rapid only) still do not match:
- Bullet Leaderboard (https://www.chess.com/leaderboard/live/bullet):
- Blitz Leaderboard (https://www.chess.com/leaderboard/live/blitz):
- Rapid Leaderboard (https://www.chess.com/leaderboard/live/rapid):
I added screenshots as the Leaderboards change over time.
There are three blocks on every page: the Main table to the left, the Diagram and the Global Stats to the right. When a mouse is being moved over the Diagram we can see the pop-up hint with the number of players within the current 100 rating points wide chunk.
The numbers on these hints do not correspond to the data in Main tables, for example:
- bullet: 11 3300-rated players on the hint vs 4 in Main table
- blitz: 15 3300-rated players on the hint vs 4 in Main table
- rapid: 28 2800-rated players on the hint vs 5 in Main table
Then I collected these numbers into the table below:
Let's compare the total number of players presented on Diagrams and Global Stats:
The fraction of players presented on Diagrams is 55%...62% of what we can see in Global Stats.
The average ratings based on the data from Diagrams and Global Stats match well:
Suggestions: either to make the data correspond in all three blocks or add some text that would explain the mismatch between identical data shown in different places in Leaderboards.
P.S. The dropdown lists in the top of Leaderboards do not work at my side, I have to change the link manually to switch between bullet, blitz and rapid pages
