In the Daily tab in Daily games it shows a column of time taken by each player for each move.
It would be useful if this was the actual time taken from seeing the opponent's move to playing my move. We might then get a sense of how much thought goes into each player's game.
It looks to me like it's simply a time between moves which doesn't really tell us much except whether it was a quick move or whether the player was, for example, sleeping.
Just thinking out loud.
Some Daily players use offline boards to track their games and may spend hours or days calculating over variations, then log in and make a move quickly. Some may just remember the position, or otherwise calculate while not on the page, and make their move as soon as they decide on one.
In either case, it doesn't actually tell you how long was spent thinking about the move.
