WHO IS MARTIN STAHL?!?!?!???

I’ve been seeing locked forums (including some of mine) have a last post by some guy named Martin Stahl. 
I’m guessing Martin Stahl is that “MS” guy in a counting challenge I made where I “said” in cyan: “Counting challenges are not allowed. -MS”

WHO IS THIS GUY?!?!?!?!

He is just one of the moderators here. He has been around forever, helping people like you who don't know the forum rules.

@Martin_Stahl?...Well...let me tell you a tale, Martin_Stahl is amazing! He is a great moderator and he does his job perfectly (get's a lot of hate for it but I don't know why). @justbefair is also...An AMAZING MODERATOR! In my personal opinion, they are the dynamic duo

Martin Stahl is a cool guy. Helps a lot.

Martin is consistently helpful and courteous which is the perfect trait for a moderator especially forums with such a wide age range.

What's counting challenges? And why it's not allowed?

It's a stage name. His real name is Igor Stohl! He wrote a couple of books on Kasparov's Games for GAMBIT.

Forums like:

”Let’s count! Each player only gives one number. Let’s try to reach 100! I’ll start: 1”

Players have to count

The reason it isn't allowed is because It's mainly pointless and just includes a bunch of spamming,

Sometimes it’s entertaining

Martin means well, he may seem like a wet blanket but he is just doing his job

I'm sure there's a compliment in there somewhere! The thread title makes me think of Lost In France and I'm ****** Matt Damon. Novella material.

I find this funny...but I don't know why (I really like Martin so it is a complememt)

He is just a really nice guy who just so happens to be a chess.com moderator

Cool. I'm surprised about how many years it's been since I started too, but I've been uploading regularly (about once weekly) for about 2 years now and I feel like I'm starting to really get the hang of things and how to make quality videos from the process of thinking of an idea all the way to making the video public.

GM Igor Stohl is a regular Chessbase collaborator. It is utterly unlikely that he would be interested moderating bunches of woodpushers.
