When Russia invaded Ukraine, chess.com made multiple statements condemning it, had streamers like Hikaru do fundraising streams etc. This set a precedent that chess.com will take sides in international conflicts, because you "believe in a world where peace, freedom, and human rights are non-negotiable values that should never be violated."
If that's the case why is there not a peep from chess.com when it comes to the Israeli suppression of freedom and human rights? Clearly the reason wasn't a belief in peace, freedom and human rights. Laughable. Israel caused more deaths in a few days than the Russians did in many months. Absolute cowardice and hypocrisy. It'd be one thing if Chess.com didn't comment on politics or international conflicts at all, at least that'd be consistent.
I'm going to some other platform.
