What articles? I see your later comment with links to articles and previous discussion. But can you maybe update your OP with the information? You are confusing your readers by not including the important data and references in your OP.
Also curious to understand HOW do you figure those articles are one-sided or or politically charged? Is it always wrong to be "politically charged"? How is the political charge in the articles a bad thing? Think you should update your OP with your details to explain your allegations.

Where and how exactly were you told it? Got the exact text? (no personal info).

It's hard for someone with a Ukranian flag to understand the concept "politically biased" , I guess.

It does look like it wink

Again, I just don't get what Martin_Stahl is doing at all. This is obviously an abusive troll topic, and instead of closing it (and banning the perpetrators), Martin is casually chatting about stuff.

I disagree. There are many issues to do with the wider world of chess, like the role of women and how to make chess places more welcoming and safe for them. These issues need to be brought into the open.

One more person is telling that chess places are not welcoming but dangerous for women. Do you really believe that at chess tournaments women might be beaten, killed or insulted? Strange beliefs, I think...

Calling for the coverage of different positions and different points of view is abusive trolling? Man, you're not just calling for censorship but doing it in an abusive way. What is the reason of your aggressiveness? Why do you so much hate people who don't agree with mainstream agenda and thinking that representation of information should not be one-sided? It is not normal, think about reasons of your aggressiveness.

This is genuine feedback about chessdotcom, not an "obviously an abusive troll topic" like you suggested.

Go start your own topic

What's that have to do with the topic discussed?

Do you even read news articles on chessdotcom? How about comments?

I've actually been noticed recently about how unevenly political chess.com has been lately. They made a public stance on one controversial war (Ukraine-Russia), but have been totally silent on another (Israel-Hamas).

Exactly. No matter what they do now, it will be divisive.

IMHO, they should have stayed focused on chess.

Green_Sleeves

Indeed. If they hadn’t mentioned the Ukraine War, I wouldn’t expect them to mention this war. But by opening the door, now they’ve put themselves in a position where both speaking out and silence betray a bias or create division.

That was the main reason I opined on the issue of divisive news articles, but alas no reply from chessdotcom

Green_Sleeves

Yeah, I haven’t gotten anything from chess.com either. Except locking threads, that is 😆

Hopefully that's not what will happen to this thread.
