So this is my suggestion: Chess 960 in the Live Chess Application. I think it'd be a great addition. Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions?

The down side is that in live chess you alredy know what you are doing and what opeaning you are going to do in chess 960 (live) you would have to imporvise this is why chess 960 is kept to online games so you can look at the situation and think without being timed

A simple problem is fixed with a simple solution; don't play Chess 960 live. There are live events held with Fischer Random Chess, so I don't see where there is a lack of interest in this idea.

Good point, I never thought of that.

However, live 960 seems like a good idea. There should be a weekly default which changes every week. Members can look on the front page for the position.

Or narrow the weekly to every 3 days.

Expanding on your idea ProKnight, we could have a weekly position and then we could make an option to have it completely randomized for those who really like the idea of random chess.

True.
