I have lost the same, and I sympathize with you. But I am sorry to say that your comment is ignorant; I am not behind the wheel.
Obviously from the number of posts, this is a popular subject. I have only read the first dozen or so. For all of you negative peeps, "A little nonsense, now and then, is relished by the wisest men". I am about to partake in a few matches, 10 "American" Bud Lights deep (yes, I know European beer kicks butt)!
I like beer, wine and whiskey - although not all mixed together...

What you can do with shot-glass chess to make it more interesting, rather than just off-your-face-quickly, is have increasing strengths of drinks depending on what piece is captured, e.g.
Pawn = beer, Knight/Bishop = wine, Rook = vodka, Queen = absynth, King = god knows what
But the really cruel version is that the loser has to drink everything left on the board when the game finishes!

If you ever get to Lawrence, Kansas, go directly to the Free State Brewery! You'll think you went to beer heaven.
The major brands and anything sold in a can is to be avoided. But there are so many good small breweries, like Boulevard Brewery, the 75th Street Brewery and McCoy's just here in KC MO that your sentiment is really outdated.
