So because some Belgian dude thinks V3 is the Stuff of Legends now (probably paid for with one 6-pack), every other issue we've written about is Null & Void?
All The Reasons We Hate V3!

For the moment I have nothing to add. I'm just reading with pleasure. All of the grumbles are justified and I'm sure I could come up with more.
So no like.
24 hours is a long time at chess.com...

Especially when you get new data.
Someone who doesn't consider new data and sticks to the same opinion regardless is called "stubborn". Sometimes less polite terms are used...
And how long does it take to change one's mind?
I would say that when sufficient data are suddenly present - it takes less than a second.
24 hours are plenty enough.
- - - - - - - - - - - -
Example: you put your hand on a stove.
You learn that it's hot and that it's unsafe to put your hand there at that moment
Before you thought that the stove wasn't on and that it was safe.
So you change your mind and move your hand away.
How long did it take?
Less than 24 hours? :-) !!!!

If someone gets me a year's supply of Starbucks lattes, I'd change my mind in 24 hours too.
Thing is, I've been dabbling in V3 off-and-on for months now. Some things are changing. Some things are getting better with V3. However, given what was said at the beginning of this thread and many of the comments made have not been suddenly 'fixed' just because one Belgian found unicorns really do exist in V3.
I'm glad Erik values your opinion. ... What about the rest of our opinions? do they matter little?

I'm not Belgian. I only live in Belgium.
My opinion is obviously just the opinion of one user out of over fifteen million... I would never think that it is more or less important than an opinion of anybody else.

Well, Erik seems to think otherwise.
I've presented a plethora of items and issues to the staff over the months. Most notably in the chess.com v3 group. I know staff have read and worked on some of the issues I and others have raised there. I know other items are still in-the-works. Yet other items remain; some of which I've detailed in my previous post in this forum.
So, you'll understand my ire when I hear someone give a "Everything's Roses and Rainbows" review after being a disbeliever some 24-hours earlier.

V3 is getting there. And one of the other larger issues that needs to be addressed by the V3 coding crowd at large --- imagine you're in a place where players still have limited access to the internet. Or internet access is charged on a per-GB basis... as are MANY places in this world, even in the U.S. For developers residing in the Bay Area of California, connectivity and d/l speeds are of no concern. But, in the cheap seats, bytes still count. Chess.com classic was a wonderful app that did two things great -- got you connected and through your online games in a snap with very low data usage. It sucked if you pressed the Live login button by mistake, but otherwise, it was a nifty light-weight app in to the site.
The newer V3 app tries to do everything in the same manner the full-fledged browser version does. Indeed, that's part of the design (to present a consistent look & feel to all platforms). Problem is, the newer version downloads the whole site with each click. Hopefully, the developers would create a light-weight version of V3 as well. Its akin to having a whole box of fresh Belgian chocolate to yourself in a desert with no water fountain in sight; rich, but not helping.
Now, I'm sure you didn't get to that in your cursory review of V3 yesterday; and how could you?

This is what I have found in many areas of being a consumer: You find something you like, it works great, and it will soon be gone. Why? Usually to "improve" the "experience". And that usually translates into more cost for the consumer and, in terms of internet things, more ads. V2 please.

"Problem is, the newer version of the file whole website With Each click. Hopefully, the developers Would create a light-weight version of V3 of as well."
Ok, now I understand better why the new version is much slower ... This is for me the real problem ...

There are things they can / will do with V3 to improve performance.
But right now, its terribly slow compared to V2. I wish I could be optimistic that V3 will be as fast as V2 once they've optimized everything... but, that's still a bit of a stretch for me.

Well, Erik seems to think otherwise.

so maybe YOU are PERSONALLY one of the CAUSES that made it so, that I found v3 so much better than it was in 2015...
All I have to say is - thanks!! :-) And keep up the good work

Well - that's just me... and you don't have to tell me - I know that I can sometimes drive some people mad with rage... :-) !!!!

I see what you're talking about. There's a social issue here that needs to be addressed - and obviously I'm the wrong person to comment on it.
Again, I don't suppose that my opinion counts, or should count, more than anybody else's - especially when another person (like you) presents arguments that I didn't consider, or has invested much more time into studying the matter.

This sounds like a reasonable suggestion.

I'd rather have these chocolates here in Brussels, with a good coffee and some great company.
Now, I'm sure you didn't get to that in your cursory review of V3 yesterday; and how could you?
you're right in everything you say.

If you invite players to a tournament, they don't get the description, only a link. That's poor.
I have a group that all we do is tournaments so that really sucks for me!

Reminds me of the old maxim, "When you are in a hole, stop digging"
No I had an explanation point at the end of the group title. That prevented me from posting a picture. Go figure.
