All The Reasons We Hate V3!

rare.. but the app crashed.. when i checked opponents profile during a game.. restarted the app but couldn't make a move while the board was restored to the same position before crashing

I didn't really conduct a thorough and extensive study of v3 finally - as what I saw in the "first hour of play" a few days ago was already enough for me to fully make the transition.
There are still a few more things I noticed over these last few days - and here they are:
1. The settings have never been easier and simpler to navigate! I didn’t even know that you could turn off invitations for matches/clubs/groups!!
Here in v3 this option simply comes and presents itself to you as you generally browse the settings section, not knowing what to expect – and everything is just so easy!!
By the way, of course people can still invite me – but now they need to write me a personal message.
2. Some people mourn the absence of a tactics trainer archive in v3 – for me personally this is not an issue
3. I would request that in online chess, when analyzing the game, I could also include sub-variations and commentary, and save my analysis – much like I do in Scid vs. pc…
Right now the platform only allows to play a line, and erases a line when I play another line. I can write no notes about specific positions in my analysis.
Of course we also didn’t have that in v2 – but why not incorporate it into v3?
(You’re going to hate me for this now) – at least for DIAMOND members
4. Another cute feature: you want to write a message to a member – there’s a box that asks you what that member’s name is. You supply it – you get (like in Facebook) his name and his icon show up, and you just have to click – so no worries about wrong spelling etc.
5. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait – I’m writing all of this long dissertation, and I totally failed to mention maybe the most striking feature –
You go over a game you played, and suddenly you see for every move, how much TIME was spent on it, and what the clock situation was each and every step of the way, including at the end!!
So you can see how effective your time allocation was, you can recall which decisions were influenced by time trouble – to a very precise degree. This is a revolution!!
6. I’m now excitedly going over my first ever computer analysis here at chess.com!!
I believe that this feature was somehow available in v2 – but here in v3 it’s really easy and simple to access. I believe I might have missed it earlier.
Another novelty: if a player resigns, you are invited to complete the game against computer level ten! (how strong is that actually?) Great training!
A suggestion though: it could be nice to have the “computer top three” moves, along their evaluations, appear on each and every move – including on moves that YOU make during analysis, to try this or to try that.
This would provide an even more powerful training tool!!
Right now, only the “computer top one” move appears, and only after a blunder, mistake or inaccuracy are made – when an “inaccuracy” has to be a full 0.60 points below the “computer top one” move.
7. Maybe I’m wrong here – but I do get the impression that we have fewer trophies now than we had in v2. Is that right?
One thing is certain – we could have an INCREASE in the number of creative and variegated rewards, with which we may adorn our friends and opponents.

When you invite someone to a tournament,it doesn't give them the description just a stupid link. What do group invitations look like in v3?

Great observations work but... What about the "Daily games" and the slowness of the system ? (Loading pages, games change ... etc)...
Regards.

Here on my computer it's not slower - if anything, it's actually faster than v2 used to be...
And I have no issues with Daily games either...
I do know that some people do face problems with these features - but on my side it's working well.

Gezz I don't know where to start here. I stayed away when the Captain made a huge list of complaints. I tried to invite him where all admins have been adding issues they do not like or bugs with features over the last year and I have been working directly with Erik on these issues. I provide all the information about the complaints and my opinion on the issues and he will then make a logical decision. They have made well over 100 changes I have submitted and Erik has only shot down a couple with a explanation why. This ongoing forum for admins use of V3 and changes need to manage our clubs has a year's worth of suggestions. We have had lots of good ideas most of the same ones here. I have been submitting to Erik on the items that are the most important to get V3 in the final release. I will be sure all issues not dealt with before V3 final and V2 leaving we will continue to make changes and updates. Lots of the ideas here and in our Admin V3 forum that we are well aware everything we want can not be done before complete final release.
I will continue working with Erik on the issues involved which I submit to him with all info he need to make a educated decision if that idea or problem can be addressed. Random Complaints will have a smaller chance to get fixed. Anybody who wants to be invited to our admin forum we have had going about a year can join and post your complaints which I will in time get submitted to Erik and get his opinion and if the changes can even be made. The final decision on these issues is Eriks alone. Everything submitted in this admin for um will get to Erik for a decision.
Erik sees these bug reports and by seeing what the greatest complaints are then when I do submit the problem to get resolved he is in a better position to make a decision that will make the most members happy and authorize the time for changes. After all it costs real money for everything that needs changing at this point. Join here first which is a group to help admins with site issues V2 and V3. Then I will get everybody over to the forum that has all the complaints and ideas for the last year. Link Here >

Yeah v2 is better because:
1. You can change group themes and now you can't
V2: If you're an admin or sa, you can change themes for groups This is actually a change I appreciate.
V3: Now they only allow Super admins to change it.
2. You can use voice chat but now you can't
V2: You must be friends to use voice chat and premium membership.
V3: Now you can't, and what if you want to do a tounge twister?\
And more... But V2 killed my theme

As a admin in many Clubs this is one area I think is the greatest. Only SA can make changes. I have gone through many groups over the years where a admin has decided to close their account and on the way out deleted and completely changed the club profile. We no longer have to worry about rouge admins causing all kinds of problems just because they can Cheers Chess.com

I hate this new layout with a passion, left side tiny screen chess board, right side all useless stuff. I am only here to play blitz chess most of the time, and you decided to give me tiny left side chess board. Thanks for creating more strain on my eyes and brain.
go back to big screen chess board please...
