Is this an app thing so that you can play a game handing your phone back and forth with another person?
I found that on my Android phone and the board doesn't flip after every move. You must have something else going on.
I have auto-rotate turned off on my phone. I'll bet that's the difference.
I am playing with an IPad and I try it with the screen rotation off, but this is not about the IPad screen rotation configuration, is that anyway the position of the IPad is only the chess board flips inside the app making the player in turn be always in the bottom of the screen. This works if you hand the IPad to your opponent and he is not watching your move.
I have the same suggestion. The automatic flip is a pain when you are trying to practise a position.
please add option to disable auto-flip on IOS!!!

To disable auto-flip on iOS( or any other device), you have to start a new game and then click on the option "Analysis mode". Then the board won't flip
