Challenge with position

Just a suggestion for a feature of the site.

Do you think that, for "Online Chess", one could challenge another player with a position that the challenger creates, or with a position determined by inserting a PGN into a text field? That would be great for analysis. 

And/or, do you think you could make a variant of chess where both players come up with their own starting position? Both players would only get to use the half of the board closest to them as a regulatory parameter. Overall, I think the variant will catch on.

what about my second idea?

I'm assuming each would develop their own position without knowledge of the other? Could be interesting.
