Commercials

Why are we now getting commercials? Chess.com is a fee based service and there shouldn't be ads constantly popping up.

Try going to Tactic Trainer. Each new board I get comes with a commercial. I don't see them using other features. Let me know if you get ads.

That shouldn't be.  I did some problems half an hour ago and there weren't any ads.  Now when they use a video streaming service for live programming then the service slips some in.  I threw a couple of ad blockers on to take care of that.  If your problem persists, then maybe you should file a ticket with support and enclose a screenshot or two.  Don't forget to tell them what platform you're on.

Turns out I had acquired the virus/malware/adware "CrimeWatch". After much effort I managed to remove it from my system. It's insidious.

I would be happy to share the information with anyone who needs it.

Yeah, be careful where you get your freeware and how you install it. A lot of supposedly legit freeware sites are trying to piggyback adware/crapware/malware along with the item you're interested in.
