Conditional Moves on the App

Agreed. There's no reason the app should not have conditional move capabilites. Promoting one of our analysis boards to be conditional seems to be the easiest solution.

Thanks for adding your support. This thread is now a year old and we still didn't hear back from chess.com

I'm not sure why they aren't adding this feature... Seems like an obvious and necessary addition, as more people are turning away from computers and using mobile devices and tablets for running apps.

I too would love to have conditional moves on the app. Just realized a few days ago that this was a feature on the website that I had been missing since I only use the app.
Please add this functionality.

I’m guessing app users are a minority of paying customers, so they would rather spend their funds on other priorities.  It is annoying, as I’m an app user.

I think the main reason is not enough people know conditional moves even exist (especially app users)

bump. need this feature on Android. literally puts me at a disadvantage when playing a lot of daily games at once.

I use android too.

Paying customers may be a minority of app users.  But I'm sure paying customers have an extremely high percentage of being app users (upwards of 90%).  That alone should be reason enough to support the paying customers, like me, who want all the features without having to go to a web browser and managing some games through that.

Also when commenting on mobile (android) the really annoying premium ad keeps flashing rapidly making it hard to write a comment. I get you want me to get a premium membership but annoying me when I'm trying to write comments isn't a good way to do it.

I also can't believe this is still not a thing. Conditional moves will speed up the play significantly. As a temp work around, accessing the website from your phone works, and using conditional moves is pretty natural and doesn't require any tutorial. it's the same as PC.

I also use Android, and mainly ue Chrome to play on the mbile version of the website. The conditional moves are easily accessible there,

I only really use the app when playing a Live game as there are a few oddities on the live interface in a browser ( for me at least)

Guys, the chrome/web version on the mobile is very clumsy. If you accept that pity as a work around, chess.com will never change anything - the law of inertia...!

There's definitely someone up in chess.com management that should be fired. Prioritization is flat out terrible. The app needs a lot of work but instead the developers were working on a new lessons feature which don't get me wrong is cool, but shouldn't be prioritized before issues like this that have been brought up a while ago and still remain .

BaronVonChickenpants

I find the Web version on chrome fine, not clumsy at all. I play the majority of my daily games there, only swapping to the app for live games.

The new Game Report page needs a layout improvement for mobile, but that's about it.

I also wonder when they are going to add stats for variants(like bughouse and crazyhouse) but that's an entirely different story.

It seems I cannot make conditional moves in my correspondence (i.e. daily) games, not even when I use my PC (with Google Chrome). One of my opponents, nonetheless, do manage to make conditional moves...

Under which circumstances, if I may ask, can you pre-move "lines", as it were, of some lenght. Covering like ... a tree ... of some size ... and how?

Do you need Diamond membership (I have Gold)?
Do you need some special version of an App, for some special device?

I'm I missing something obvious here? You do want to have a conditional pre-move-tree kind of function when you play daily's, don't you?

BaronVonChickenpants

You certainly can do it from the website. I use it all the time. You have to visit one of your games that is currently waiting for your opponent to move and the icon appears (it looks like two branching arrows)

It must be your opponents turn

BaronVonChickenpants

I think you can have one line as a free member and multiple lines as a paid member.

I never use the app and don't think conditional moves are a part of the app at all.

I visit the main website from my mobile browser (Chrome in this case). Works great

I would also REALLY love conditional moves on the app. But I have a feeling they will roll that feature into their paid plans.
