I can't really help much but you might post what kind of device (Andoid, iOS) and the app version # you upgraded to.

Having the same issue. iPad v3.2.34. A few clarifying points though: 1) this only occurs with live blitz games -- non-blitz and computer games work fine; 2) I have the same issue if I merely try to watch a game; 3) instead of auto-aborting, it treats it as an abandon/loss --highly aggravating.
Finally, I should mention I am still on iOS 8.x, that may be part of the issue, but that was never a problem with the previous version. I'm guessing they stopped testing against iOS 8.x?

Same here crashing when I try and play a blitz game. Using IOS 7.0.3 can not upgrade because of not enough free space on my phone.
It auto upgraded 2 days ago and I received a message from chess.com a day later saying not to upgrade if your a iOS 7 user.
Why was did App version not pulled?
Same issue. Crashes before game loads when I try to play blitz. I have ios7. Is there a way to download a previous version of the app?

Hey all, we submitted a critical fix to Apple yesterday which will correct the crashing issue, which is being seen by many users who are on iOS 7. We're hopeful Apple will review and release it without too much delay. And we're extremely sorry for the inconvenience this is causing in the meantime. 
(To be clear, if you're not opposed to updating iOS, that will fix the problem immediately, even with the current version of the app.)

Hi. My chess app keeps crashing if I try to play an online game. This has only occurred since today's update. Last night it was working fine. I have downloaded and redownload the app several times. It's only on online play. I have played against the computer several times and the app works fine. And as you can see, going to the forums is still easy. Don't know why this is happening. If anyone has an idea why, please let me know what I can do to help fix it. Thank you
