What about making v3 an exclusive (and expensive?) member only site for the more serious player while retaining v2 for the rest of us?
So you want people to pay for V3, but V2 should remain free?
Who is going to maintain V2 for free?

you mean who is gonna pay to have V3?
this is your problem
we will pay for V2 as long as we can have all its facilities that were disabled
or even better you can do it the other way round!
enable V2 for paying members only
and accept non-paying members only in V3 in order for you to have all the people there and don't run out of members

personally I would be happy to pay a membership in order to have V2
but I will never pay for V3, I don't come there even for free if V2 is still on, may be this is why you have disabled V2.
But you still can "enable" V2 and "disable" the free-members to join the old V2 platform instead of stopping it for All, it would be fairest to the people who love V2 to be able to pay for it and use it as long as they like
v2 should remain as it is and I think its member fees are very reasonable.v3 could charge more for its additional facilities from those who are interested.
I still cannot use my themes in V2 -- it is still disabled
Not disabled but bugged/broken and because of v3 not being fixed.

I am a diamond member and I want to keep V2. Everytine I try V3 I always go back to V2.
I'm concerned with the apparent impositional arrogance manifestly behind the site version promotion discussion. As numbers matter, a running tally of both versions is discerning and democratic and an absence of figures would confirm intent to window-dress and conceal dissenting opinions. The interests of v3 promoters are not clear yet appear to be cast in stone and "by hook and by crook" wish to see it happen. No one is opposed to continuing site research and development and improvement , but on this issue, opinions don't appear to be warmly received if they are at odds with promulgators preconceptions. The latter have let their "cloak of invisiblity" drop and "die Fledermaus" (Johann Strauss 11 operetta....a comedy !!...just 'aint that the truth.) among others, is entitled to an opinion but I'm more than interested in the views of those that have become a less than silent majority. LET'S COMPROMISE ...impliment the facility of Mark 11 v2 and maintain its clarity, familiarity and appearance., etc., without totally scrapping the no doubt partly useful work on v3 to date. This is a survey, not an election.
Staff has been reading the forums about the updates and have been implementing changes in recognition of concerns. v3 will become the only site at some point.
Thanks for the reply, Martin. Can I assume that "at some point", your version of v3 will incorporate the best of v2, especiallky "familiarity" ? Further, will you be providing figures of opinions , both "for and against'" to allow members to see the weight of opinion either way ? Regards from Jessie ("coolshot")
V3 is much better now. There are features that are not on V2, like Drills. Also some of the things that used to work on V2 - like the analysis board and play the computer on tactics no longer work.
On V3 you can change themes easily, on V2 it does not seem to work.
I think just get on with it, its like any change it will take a while to get used to, and some people adapt quicker.
owyeah! exclude me from V3 and make V2 all-inclusive again!
