It would be great to be able to create a list of favorite games.

You mean a linkable list of chess.com games for your own reference or display for other people?  Why not do it as a blog entry that you update as needed?  You could do it sort of as an annotated bibliography, with a sentence or two for each link describing what was noteworthy about the game.

You can also have unpublished blog entries.  It would be accessible to you at the bottom of your profile page, but no one else would be able to access it.
