That has been asked before and erik had some commments. I'll see if I can find that and link it.
I don't recall the reason for sure but I think it has something to do with some thematic positions being better for one side and that would skew statistics, but I could be way off.
I got the bright idea to play several thematic games and use the Explorer to record and help me determine how well or poorly I do vs. certain positions. What I found out is this:
When a game is a thematic game (starting at a fixed position), the Game Explorer is not pulling these games up. So, for example, you take part in a "King's Gambit" tournament; not a one of those "King's Gambit" games will be pulled up for later reference in Game Explorer; thus your performance stats aren't shown either.
This came as a real disappointment to me; as I wanted to see what moves I was making vs. book openings that were effective for me; and which ones weren't. With all of those thematic games I have played, that's a lot of information unavailable!
So, I'd like to see these thematic games show up in the Explorer.
I've tried many a thematic game; writing the first ones off as flukes; but i am unable to pull up any thematic game in Game Explorer; yet I can download the PGN of the first game I ever completed on chess.com back in 2012 and by retracing the moves tit for tat, pull it up (which is great, by the way).
So, my questions:
