You may have a good local connection but each move has to take a multi step hike to and from the Chess.com servers. Have you run a traceroute to find out how long it takes?

I have a very strong internet connection but chess.com keeps threatening auto resign for my games.
I have lost a number of games by auto resign even when I'm standing next to the internet rooter.
Furtherr, I've had a number of opponents also lose by auto resign when's they are in a very strong position.
I believe chess.com may have an issue with their system losing connection with its users rather than the users internet losing connection with the chess.com surver.

i lost about 70 games by this policy... wait for 30 sec and also freeze the clock...
Automatic :
Either end according to engine analysis more than + (-) 5 as threshold ( if more than 1 min clock ).. otherwise Draw.
Manual :
Give an option to choose of draw (if there is any honest persons;this will be act as fair policy) or win for the opponent .
