Did the OP ever post the link to the problem? Seriously, I can't believe how worked up some people get in such a short time (only 4 days). Smells like BS.

You are on the right track about this. I would like to see the link too.
but they dont give me my money!
Following is cut and pasted from Chess.com:
Yes. Take a plan for a test drive and if you’re not satisfied for any reason, you can get a full refund for up to 30 days. No questions asked. If you just want to switch to a different plan you can do so at any time in your "Membership" settings without any penalties.
End of cut and paste.
By my way of thinking, this is the main issue, regardless of whether or not her criticism of a particular TT problem is just.
I've seen numerous players given a refund. Maybe if a ticket is submitted and ignored, contact a member of staff directly.
Regina
Your money should be returned for the asking.
I also, choose not to pay. Tactics Trainer is my main area of interest, and I find it flawed. (They give me 5 points for quick correct answers. I lose 15 for "wrong" answers that would be correct OTB.) And as stated, I prefer chesstempo.
However, Scott is not being abusive or accusing you of anything other than posting a suspect problem. I have seen TT make illegal moves within their A&S section, but have never seen an illegal starting position.
I believe we are all trying to be helpful.
The rating increase/decrease experienced is not fixed, it's based on the rating of the puzzle, which is in turn determined by the ratings of the users that solve it/don't.
Whilst there are often multiple paths to an advantage, there's normally only one path which is clearly the best (believe it's measured by +2.5 better on computer eval or some figure). I understand what you're saying, but I like the fact that it forces you to find the best solution.

I don't keep track of the TT puzzles I have posted on, and had to wait until a player added a comment before I could link to the above, but many "losing" lines may be improved as the extended computer lines are often sloppy.
I recall one where the "correct" line went for material gain and another player found a forced mate. I posted that the puzzle should not be removed as the discussion was more enlightening than the puzzle and I was embarassed to have gotten it "correct".
This thread has been belabored past its original merit and I am as guilty as any, and I should let it rest, but clearly, if she wants better defined training, she can get it elsewhere.
That said, I find TT entertaining and enjoyable.
the position was clearly incorrect...but this is simply a computer programme and open to flaws ...as we all are.
however it could be (though highly unlikely) if a promoted pawn was promoted to a bishop...on a white square! And hence two white bishops.
You can learn far more from playing real people rather than through tactics training -these are after all just puzzles and don't really have a bearing on a real game...technique can be practised but application is very different in a game. Quite simply we are all human and make mistakes, this is the true nature of chess.
If you are unhappy I would expect you to get a refund, but I have not seen a better chess site than this one.
In Your Case Queen could have moved in Step 2 QF6 and then you could have taken it with ur queen.Having said that since QF6 has no support from black pieces there are no pawns.Your are correct yet if the puzzle is use ur bishop only to take the queen then Bf5 is right.
I don't see much point in going on with this thread since good old Regina obviously stopped coming to chess.com as soon as she got her refund...
I agree with Scottrf about the b8 bishop and also about the h7 pawn so I too would like to see the link to the actual exercise

if you are lucky...

Yeah either someone else does tactics and finds it, or maybe you can access someone else's tactics history somehow? You can see your own here, http://www.chess.com/tactics/stats, maybe some url modification will lead to other people's stats?
@zazen5 Obviously Regina's english leaves much to be desired and I don't think google translate can do justice to your post.
