Plays OK after the opening. No Big Deal. Won't play in the browser becasue Flash does not work on the iPhone without an app.
It is fine, the beginning looks funky, but after that it is fine

Good. I was just going to mention that it might have been your coverage in the area you were in. I use wifi for my iPhone at home and at work and I don't have any problems with the videos in those places but, in some areas where I use 3G I experience get some slowness.
One of the things I really don't like about the iPhone is you can't use Flash. That's why I will not get an iPad and I think next time I'm shopping for a phone I'll be shopping for an Android phone.

Flash will come soon for the iPhone. If I had the money I would buy an iPad. But a son in college leaves little money....

There is a iPhone app (and iPad) for Kindle. I have given my iPhone to my wife who is a pastor since I am disabled and rarely leave the house.
So if you have an iPhone or iPad, you can buy the Kindle software.

Kindle is a handheld book reader. Sold by Amazon (see: http://tinyurl.com/3yb7yps). It is a handy little device and many books are in "Kindle" format. They can also make your smart phone or iPad into a Kindle book reading device via software (which is fairly inexpensive).
Buying books electronically does not require paper or binding. Therefore they are a lot cheaper. The drawback, of course, is you can't just pull it off the shelf and loan it to a friend.
When you are done reading the book, you can save it to your computer's hard drive and download new ones. You can start reading right away as while you are reading page one, it is downloading the rest of the book.
E-books have been around for awhile but have not caught on. With Kindle, Droid, iPhone, iPad (especially) and the Kindle device they are more like reading a book.
Say you buy an iPhone for example. You can get maps, GPS, find restaurants, read books, and play on Chess.com from one device -- all from a phone that you carry anyway.
The Kindle device is great, but it is specifically for books. But with all this new tech making e-books easier to read, saving the environment, they are finally starting to catch on.
There is a GOOD reason Apple doesn't allow Flash. Quite frankly, from all the reviews Flash Mobile is AWFUL. Apple has been working with Adobe but at the moment Flash Mobile is just as likely to crash your phone as run the Flash program.
Yes Adroid jumped on the wagon. Apple, on the other hand, would rather lose some sales than just pump out an inferior product. The Droid is based on Windows type apps. It comes with Windows Type problems.
Apple, because of a proprietary chip (the "A4") in the iPhone and iPad and because it is Unix based does not have such problems.
Now I gave my iPhone to my wife who uses it. I am a broke and disabled person who saves his money to play chess (and as you may tell has lots of time to read).
I doubt I will ever own a phone that does more that ring again in my life. But if I was considering an HTC vs. iPhone 4 I would weigh things very carefully. Google is well known for taking you information and the search information and selling it. They are the power behind HTC. Just a thought.

Well, my carrier (AT&T) had a customer loyalty sale. I got an iPhone for myself (refurbished) for $50!
I have Chess.com
Kindle
Mapquest GPS
Facebook
Nook (Barnes and Noble's eBook reader)
PayPal
Google Books eReader
WeatherBug
Skype
ChessClock
eBay
Twitter
and a host of various programs.
The above ones where free! Some of the other ones cost me a whopping 99 cents!
I can play chess, play "Go", read a book and lots of other things while waiting at the doctor's office, etc.
All of this on my phone which I carry with me anyway.
I take it with me when I go to sleep and read before I dose off.
Now my son's (college freshman) phone died after surviving HS and 1/2 of college. He was eligible for an upgrade. He got a Droid phone (a Motorola Flipout)
It has not nearly the features the iPhone has, but it had what he wanted. Facebook, IM, Text Msgs all in one app. It has a five row standard keyboard:
It does what he wants. It has GPS, book readers, internet, and most of all, lots of social devices.
While it is cool -- it is NOT quite what the iPhone is.
The playing of videos on the iPhone gives very poor quality. Too bad - when I am out it is a good time to catch up on watching videos.
I'll try it through the browser and see what happens
