'It is your move' e-mail alerts

Hi,

I am a new player. Just started two 3-day games. In my settings, I have checkboxed to receive e-mail alerts whenever it is your move.

How these alerts work? I got an alert for my first move, but after that I haven't received any alerts.

Today, I almost missed my turn, because not remembering that it may be my turn (when actually it had been my turn for 50 hours). I would like to receive to have e-mail alerts whenever it is my turn.

I have seen lag in those emails before. Also, you might verify that your spam filter didn't start getting them.

Finally, you don't get them on every move. It is one and you won't receive another until after you have logged in again. At least, that's the way it used to work.

Okay, now I understand it. I got e-mail alert whenever I exit from chess.com by pressing 'sign out' button. If I end my session by closing the browser or shutting down the laptop, I do not get e-mail alert.

Although I get emails from chess.com on various events I don't get a mail when it is my turn to move. I have tried all suggestions made in the Forum to no avail. Can someone help me please?

Check your notification/email settings. See link.

Also check your email junk/spam folder. The emails might be there.
