Why not play correspondence if you want (virtually) unlimited time?
live chess no timer

I think that is a good idea. a game open to two people who want to play each other but want to play with "no timer" because correspondence chess isn't live.

something doesn't follow logical reasoning rules here.
if there is a timer for 60 minutes, then there is a timer. it cannot be a "no timer" game if the time control is 60 minutes.
if you want to play longer time controls, play games with folks with a time control of move in 14 days, and then agree to stay online and make moves rapidly, attempting to finish in 2 hours or less on the wall-clock.
just my 2 cents, posted as a user.
then you would have to arrange a game but live chess with no timer yoiu could play someone across the world and not know there names but play live chess with no timer

And what's to stop someone from sittng for 5 days, with no time?
All (real) chess is timed to some extent. If some people don't like that, they can use an analysis board

the could make the game expire after 24 hours on live chess.
maybe all real competitive chess is timed, but a game of chess between friends is a real game of chess.. with or without time controls :)
There are many people who stress out over timers and don't play chess as well. I think that there should be one version of live chess with no timer. some players have tried to play 60 minute games but no one wants to play them.
your thoughts please
