Make playing rated games mandatory

What some people do is they cheat in 7-8 games and reach close to 2000. Then they do not play for 30 days and if there games go undetected (which happens quite ofter) They log in and play only unrated games in which they no longer cheat. What I want to suggest is this that please make it mandatory that after 3 unrated bullet games 1 rated bullet game is mandatory. Same with blitz and standard games. I think this will check those people who somehow got away with your cheat detection. Why would player with 1800 rating has trouble playing a rated game with a player rated 1100,1200,1300 etc.

First Edit

These cheaters do not even play rated games with their equivalents. Their ratings are for a show-piece only. Atleast make  mandatory 1 rated games after 10 unrated games for each blitz, bullet and standard seprately. Staff and moderators can be excluded from this rule as they need to play to check the site. The whole idea to do this is to discourage muliple accounts and false ratings. Because these special class of cheaters stop cheating once their game history(in which they cheated) is no more after 30 days and chess.com is helpless.

horrible idea. what is it to you what someone is rated?

the game changes as you go up: learn to move all peieces, try not to blunder any, tactics, positional play, plans... that is why people don't want to play you, they are working on something and are not interested in downgrading or whatever.

plus, playing someone much lower rated you stand to lose lots of points say -30 and gain say +4, few loses and you have a really long way back up.

just leave people to decide what they want to do

Why not just refuse to play unrated games?  Then it doesn't affect you at all.

That is incorrect. All games remain available and chess.com is not helpless in this scenario. You just have to be a premium member to see games past 30 days. If you suspect cheating, you can report them via the ticketing system.

One of high rated players who fequently plays and i think is titled, Samuraichessman (2300) or something similar always plays unrated, i heard someone say he is a great player once and everyone told him to shut up. Enough said

While we're at it, let's force everyone to play only the Petroff defense as Black!

In the Live Chess window, there is an option to choose rated and unrated.

One of the big problems I see with this idea is that these cheaters are going to get to a very high rating but will actually suck at chess.  Once they do a game with someone who is at their "level," they'll lose very quickly.  I think that if they're cheating, they're going to cheat 90% of the time, whether or not it is rated or unrated.  I can think of one player who plays a few real games, but then they have 10x as many perfect games.

By the way, mentioning the word, or any forum of the word "Cheat" will get this thing locked.  Good going, you killed another thread!  :-p
