Player Stats

There seems to be some inconsistency in player stats.

I just played against someone rated 1497 Blitz. That has him/her at 93.2% percentile #141 057 out of 2 081 008

I am 1493 after that game, but the system says I am 89.4% and 221 252 out of 2 081 008.

We both have very large numbers of games, so our ratings are well established.

It's a bit hard to believe that 4 pts ratings covers almost 4% of players. Besides that, I often drift up to about 1550 and my percentile never gets above 92%, yet his/hers is 93.2% at below 1500.

Any explanations?

I'm not sure but it is possible those percentages don't change immediately after each game.

So you think that they might get updated daily? If so, what time, Mr Staff?

This shows that 1500 players are actually much, much stronger than we generally give them credit for. 

When I was rated 1500, I felt very strong and powerful - I could brilliantly beat pretty much everybody, unless he was actually enrolled in a club, actively playing competitions and rated higher than I was...

Then many years pass, your rating rises, you get used to not taking 1500 players seriously and just forget how it felt when you were at that level.

 The N/A thing is pretty common. Or has been in the past. That said, developers have been making changes and fixing bugs.

OK now explain this. On the old site, today I am 91.7% better than other players, but on the new site I am only 87.4% better

Beats me. Maybe they have changed how they calculate members to keep in the pool of players. That is, maybe on v2 they filtered out players that haven't been active for a while.
