I suggest that the rule for aborting games be modified so that that's allowed ONLY when players take an inordinant time to tart play.
What that time length might be I suggest may be open for debate however I think that should be the only reason allowed.
There's really no legitimate reason otherwise for games to be aborted.
All the other reasons I can think of have alternative controls.
[1] Think the player to whom you're matched is too good ?
Control that with the selection of the rating range.
[2] Think the player to whom you're matched is too poor ?
Similarly the rating range is controlable...although here the point is not so legitimate, since...
(a) ...if they're so bad, you can pick up an easy win, right ?
(b)...the very way players improve is in contests with better players, so you're acting as an impediment by refusing to play "lesser" opponents.
I can't think of other reasons for aborting games but perhaps that will come up as a response.
In any case, I find that he time spent waiting for someone to decide whether to play, combined with the annoyance of someone arbitrarily cancelling a game is something that GHOSTMIRROR nor anyone else really should have "up to which put" [
].
