Question on Tactics Trainer

I was working through problem # 0047955.  I have no idea whether anyone can review a specific problem, but the issue I have is that my last move was to promote a pawn.  When asked which piece to take, I chose a queen.  That was marked as wrong by the trainer which chose a rook.

A queen can do anything a rook can do with some added bonus.  There are times when a knight would be preferred, particularly if a knight from the promoted pawns position would mate.  But in this case, the rook did not mate and, in fact the play following the promotion would have taken longer to mate with a rook than a queen.

So, is this just some random error in the trainer or am I missing something?  Would there ever be a time in a real game where you would prefer to take a rook or a bishop in lieu of a queen with a promoted pawn?

I haven't accessed the problem in question but often, in puzzles, promotion to a Queen leads to a stalemate situation which can only be avoided by promotion to a Rook. Perhaps you could post the problem as a diagram here?

Sorry I didn't get right back.  I have insterted the diagram prior to white's next move.

If you promote to a Queen, then the next move for black would be to check the king with Bh3+.  Now, if the king moves out of the way, black captures the Queen, and now black has a winning game.  If the king captures the bishop, it is stalemate.

If you promote to a Rook however, and then black moves Bh3+, the King can capture the bishop, but it is not stalemate, and white has a winning game.
