Quote notification and quoting (forum)

I like going through the forums here at chess.com. I'm also active on some other forums, and one of the most handy features there is a "quote notification".

Now there's the ability to track threads, but then I get notified everytime anyone is posting something instead of when someone is specifically replying to something I wrote. I don't think it's a bad feature but it's different, if you know what I mean, they're not mutually exclusive,

Also about quoting someone in general. When I quote someone and then I get quoted, then the original quote will show up in the message I was quoted in (still follow :P?). I feel that this is unnecessary. The first quote can just be dropped. This makes quoting more practical, without it turning into huge messages.

Now this is just how I feel, and obviously other people will feel differently, but it's a suggestion.
