Resignation

I've resigned on a number of occassions recently; Due to
me being in a clear losing position or when having been called to a phone call or staff requiring assistance at work. I've had cautionary messages from chess.com for having taken this course of action, what relevance is it to chess.com to caution me on this course of action, when I see rated players undertaking this mode of ending their game, do they get cautioned as well?
What does it matter?

Why the warning of further action if it persists?

It's just a game, not life or death!
The winner even gets an increased rating when I resign!

Is this a problem?

"Sandbagging" is the deliberate loss of a game in order to lower your rating.  It's considered a form of cheating since your rating will no longer reflect your true skill.  Some folks do it to squeeze into a tournament they wouldn't otherwise be eligible for and I suppose some do it just because they like to mess with their opponents heads.  Anyway, it is prohibited behavior and that's what they think you're doing.

I appreciate your response, thanks.

They should write a subroutine or two, to make the computer assess paterns/history a bit deeper to assess the reasoning relative to individual players.
