Correspondence players without patience?
Oh dear.
* Rolls eyes *
What about one move per lifetime option? I make a move 1. e4, then my opponent, then after my death, my Estate, spouse, or a child makes the next one. Could complete a game in, say, 1220 years; if my math and assumption are correct.
A side benefit is that a distant relative (future moves should be resticted to the blood line) may be able to take advantage of the latest theory -- 500 years from now.
A disadvantage is that to claim a win through time lapse you have to prove death with no move having ben made by the next generation.
I may open my own website: rigor.mortis.com
I need more time to think this through. Would people still complain about the time taken?
Look, I know that there is a time-limit of 1-3 days, but in a situation where the oponent has only say two players to respond to and only one of those players is online, why do they take sooooo long to make a move?
You may know there is a time limit, but obviously you dont understand the time limit.
