They already have that feature in the members section. Cant see them dupicating it on every groups homepage.....
Suggestion - Most Active Members
Yes. It is there but I doubt that it is based on their individual or overall activeness, not according to that specific group.
I can say this because I see some people there who are not active in my group. Few of them are not playing any team matches, Vote Chess or even not contributing by commenting in my group Forums or Notes!
Thats where it will stay. They wont duplicate it for each group as that would be a lot of coding..
I agree. What you may have to do is establish some sort of 'written' standard for group(s) that the members will have to adhere to in order to remain a member (this is only a suggestion to consider to provide you with some ideas). I say this because there are some people who will offer their own 'chicken-shit' comments for any ideas shared by others. Then establish a system of metrics (unique to your group(s)) to see (annually, semi-annually, or quarterly for example) who are not actively participating/contributing.
Many groups have no set standard, and are riddled with dead-weight/squatters...and they have no obligation to meet any expectations. So the standards you establish will reflect your vision for your group(s) and will be your leverage and 'proper' justification for dismissing those who are not meeting them. This can be done without coding. All you need is a spreadsheet (like Excel, Google Sheets, etc.) and use of cloud-based services (like Google Drive, OneDrive, etc) to maintain your data.

The most active members of every group changes hour by hour. That more coding that they just wont do when you can see it just as quickly with a touch of a button.
I understand that; but I think he's talking about the most active members in the sense of their level of participation activities specific and unique to the group(s) they are members of (either by participating in matches or group discussions). In that case, he would have to have his own metrics to gauge that.
The most active members link as we know it is really irrelevant as it does not pertain to their level of activity in the actual group(s). So such members are very active on C.c as a whole; but may be virtually (or actually) inactive in certain (specific) groups.
I'm a member in one of your groups. I actively engage in forums, blogs, etc. throughout C.c. or in other groups. When compared to other similarly active members in the same group, we may be near the top; but we don't engage or participate in anything in that particular group, meaning that we are 'inactive' in that group.

Yes. Exactly, DoctorWho.
See, knightspawn5... If the feature of Active Members is in the Group Menu, it must be associated to that specific group only.
But they wont code it for the front group page, cause it only a click away from where it is now.....
The problem is that the individual is not recognised/rewarded in group activities...only the group. This is why I only play in individual tournaments now...I am rewarded when I win.
There are no rewards for group activities. You are rewarded in every match you play for any match with rating points as well..
At the Group Home Page, the area is alloted at the bottom left corner for "Highest Rated Members".
Below that, there should be "Most Active Members", who are most active for that specific group.
This change will encourage people to be active more!
