Do you unplug your headphones when not using them?
Do you stream music over Bluetooth? If yes, you could try turning off the Bluetooth to see if the sounds return.

This is for the browser chess.com, not phone app.
I fixed the sound issue by switching the interface back to the old interface. Then you'll see a Settings button. Go into Settings and there should be a switch to turn sound on. Then you can switch back to the new interface and it should be fixed. Good luck.
