there's no draw by 3 fold repetition

i've played a few games where i tried to draw by 3 fold repition, but the site REQUIRES that you know that rule AND request a draw request on the 3rd repition as it ignores the first one when you start checking your opponent instead of automatically doing it as it should. just like en passant, it's a RULE and everyone should be aware of it.

not a fan of ANY of the things chess.com HIDES like one's game archive which i had to bookmark once i saw it the second time and haven't liked the 2 times i accidently started postal games i because i thought i was clicking on "live chess" because the button wasn't correctly labeled postal or correspondence chess as it should be. i didn't want to create ANOTHER thread just for that and can't remember the other 2-3 things about the site thatare counterintuitive besides that 28 mouseclicks needed to get to the live play feature when it should only take one & a log in.

3 fold repetition draw is a claimed draw, as stated in the rules.

Took me 3 clicks to get to live chess (not including setting up the game).

Game archive thing I do have to agree with though. (Even if I get access to it)

at both FICS and the ICC, draw by threefold repition is automatic. i quit playing the ICC precisely because of the rule when an obnoxious 1750 made me mad when he saw i was drawing him and made me drop my queen en prise one sqaure short and told the mods to go eff themselves because i refused to concede without a fight to the death because there's no move verification and chess is NOT a game of manual dexterity and mice SUCK as control interfaces. if i had the money, i'd buy a touchscreen as i've dropped a couple pieces here for that same reason already after just a couple months.

i have particular issues with the 3 fold rule i guess because i hate getting cheated. it was OBVIOUS i was playing to draw.

the mid 1800s opponent started talking trash when he realized he was about to get beaten by a then 1470 (i think), but had been smack talking the whole game and made me so mad that i let the piece drop a square early on the final repetition that would have made it a draw so that he could just grab it en prise with a bishop, i believe.

i don't like playing chess with a mouse. it turns chess into a video game. eye & hand coordination should have NOTHING to do with a game. i used to play a guy with cerebral palsy who had to dictate his moves in algebraic, but dude was a brick wall like karpov to try and beat.

separating one's hand from something you're trying to move as with a mouse is extremely imprecise. it's pretty much impossible to draw anything with a mouse. from what i just read about windows 8, it's possible a touchscreen is in my future and the wrong square issue won't be a problem as my hand won't be 2 feet feet or more from what i'm trying to move and at an an entirely different scale.
