Unfairly banned... Again!!

This is ridiculous. As the title says, I've been unfairly banned... again!! What is WRONG with this website?! I had just finished a game (Which my opponenet resigned from...) when I got the fateful message, Your account has been restricted because you have not followed our fair play policy. But why?? I might as well argue I always play fair (It's a matter of pride.) but whether or not you believe me is an entirely different matter. I could try to complain to the staff to make them fix this bug, but since this is the second time this has happened, (And they did nothing the first,) I might as well be talking to a wall. A wall which sometimes dispenses form-letters. So I guess I'm just trying to bring public attention to this glitch in the system, and MAYBE, get that wall to gain sentience, learn programming, and restore my account. But we all know that's a somewhat futile endeavour. Walls CAN'T gain sentience.

I personally do not feel it is a bug, you can get the ban message for a few reasons; someone may have reported you for abuse, negative comments, cursing, aborting games, etc. I am surprise at you saying that the support staff did not listen, amazes me seeing as all of my experiences with the Staff have been very positive and they helped me out while being very personable! I feel like the reason you got the restriction is due to you leaving games in the middle without resigning. I can't speak for you or what you did seeing as I have no idea, but that possibility pops out the most to me. I truthfully do not think that it is a bug or more people would have reported it. Best of luck to you, NobleKnight.

Thank you for your regards, DowdyTheFifth. Firstly, I have not  been doing any of the "illegal" things you mentioned. Now, quite a few games beforehand had been aborted, but only automatically. The reason they were aborted was because Live Chess had been freezing up alot that night. (You probably know what it's like; you can't make a move, nor can your opponenet.) Secondly, I think it might be a sad possibility that I was "reported" simply because my opponenet whom I'd just beaten was angry and wanted vengeance. There are ALOT of poor-sports out there. Thirdly, no, the Staff aren't helpful. You see, it doesn't really matter if they're positive or personable. A friendly Staff member can't fix the problem I have. They can restore my account, (Maybe...) but they won't fix the bug so it doesn't happen again, nor will they make sure that it takes more than just a mad player to get you banned. (Of course, if we made a poll, that might gain attention...) Well, I guess that sums this post up. By now, my account has been automatically restored, but I still want things fixed so I don't lose it again. (By the way, how do you get people banned? I've encountered quite a few players who deserve it...)

Keep in mind that even though you arent personally abandoning games, but if you accpet a challenge, or osmeone accepts your challenge, and then you let the game sit until it autoaborts that counts against you.

Huh, I didn't know that. But it only rubs salt in the wound, because I had no choice but to stay there!

You can't 'get people banned,' you can report them and if it's as bad as it is, then they may be banned. As for the Staff not being helpful, I certainly disagree with you. Chess.com wouldn't choose unreliable Staff members.

Thanks for the feed-back. I'm not so sure about them not choosing unreliable Staff members... I cite the fact this website has many unfixed (And bad) bugs in it as an example.

Every site, software, OS, has bugs.  Ever use Micorsoft products?  If you dont complain about the steaming pile of stuff they put out, it seems a bit rediculous to complain about chess.com

I run Linux. I never have any problems. Viruses? No sweat. The fact that my computer's hard drive has been threatening to fail for two years? Pssshhh. Anyway, the bottom line is that I've gotten used to quality. Quality which Chess.com fails to provide.
